We're a dad and a boy who love watches.
Evan got his start in working on watches when his prized Fortis Official Cosmonauts Chronograph came back from a "service" with dirt on the dial and greasy fingerprints under the crystal. Disgusted as he was with their work, he wasn't sending it back- so with some degree of terror he cracked it open himself, cleaned it up, and safely reassembled it. The realization that this kind of work was not only accessible, but fun, led to diving headfirst into restoring vintage watches and doing work here and there for friends.
Evan is a vintage watch enthusiast with a collection constantly on the verge of slipping out of control. He also writes for a variety of watch publications including Watchclicker and Tempus Fugit.
Like his dad, Patrick's first watch was a venerable Casio F-91W. At nine years old he's the ultimate stress tester and his Casio and Timex both bear marks of many adventures. He handles the light shop-tidying work and keeps up a steady stream of questions and commentary.
When he's not busy with his fourth grade homework, Patrick enjoys building things with Lego and taking care of his pet turtle, Thomas.
Do to others as you would like them to do to you.
From the Bible, Luke 6:31
First and foremost we wish to serve our customers with dignity and respect –in accordance with the principles of honesty and integrity as outlined in God’s Word, the Bible.
Our goal at Kaspar & Son is to provide honest service at a price that opens up the possibility of second life for watches that may otherwise be considered “too cheap to bother with”. We leave the rare, expensive and complex to the masters, and give our care and attention to the everyday.
